The number of grains sites and the size of grain is reduced under S deficiency. S deficient plants show a bright chlorotic, yellow green colour and stunted growth. Chlorosis caused by sulphur deficiency is observed at the young leaves first.

S deficient plants show a bright chlorotic, yellow green colour and stunted growth. Chlorosis caused by sulfur deficiency can often be observed at the young leaves first - in contrast to deficiency symptoms caused by a lack of nitrogen. The number of grains sites and the size of grain is reduced under S deficiency.
